MY FIRST LIVE BEAT SET

I will be rocking my first official live beat set December 17th at Club 6 in SF. I've had my own equipment for 12 years, it's exciting to have a chance to bring my beats to life in a live setting. A couple people asked me what I'll be doing. I guess doing a live beat set could mean a lot of things. I'll be rocking all original, self produced blaps, some classics, some unreleased bangers. For the tech heads: I'll be using my Macbook Pro with Ableton and an Akai MPD 24 controller. I'll be effecting and tweaking my beats, blapping out drums, sound effects, etc.

BOAC UPDATE / PROJECT ROACH + MORE

It took me a long time to figure out the sound I was looking for. Honestly, I had no clue what that sound was, or even if this is it. But I have an album, it took me 5 years to finish and I hope you like it. Im not the type of artist that makes music to make money, although that would be great in a perfect world. As Conceit once said, "Im a selfish Emcee, I make music for me"... Hahaha... I used to do that, still do to a certain extent. Really, I want to make good music that speaks to you. Something you can feel and relate to and still enjoy years from now.

Back from the lil road run.

Whats poppin' y'all?! I'm bloggin'. Whats's really goin' down? Any how I'm havin' a fuckin' blast so far with the shows and art, recordin' and all.. I'll be chattin' with y'all bout lots here.

Z-MAN TORE IT DOWN THE OTHER NIGHT.

It was Club 6. In the basement. Bicasso from Living Legends rocked the small crowd. Dregs, B Pos and other cats rocked as well. The mood was dope. A few die hard fans were having their drinks, completely unaware that a guy in a giraffe mask, (yes, you read that correctly), was about to jump on stage and tear shit down like a fucking hurricane. I (BOAC) was there to have a drink and check the set out, when all of the sudden Z started doing "Progress", (a track I produced and rapped on, off his new EP). I was probably a little too on Gurp, but what the hell.

FUCK THE INDUSTRY

Ahhhh, remember when Hip Hop was fresh? And Fun? Yeah, we do too. We have been in the lab + the office, crafting up some amazing projects for you. Some will take awhile. Some will be free. We are going to make sure to make em all dope. BOAC will have an album. Z-Man will have an album. Also, we will be bringing you projects by brand new artists that you've never heard of + a couple of artists that just might be already in your itunes now. We are a record label, trying to put out music in the worst time in history to be a record label. Whatever.
